United Van Lines has approximately 4,000 corporate and household movers and van operators nationwide. Each year, United selects four operators, one from each of four divisions, as “Van Operator of the Year.” In fiscal year 1999–2000, one of Golden Eagle Moving Services’ van operators, Wayne Gregan, was selected for this company-wide award. In fiscal year 2000–2001, van operator Tom Redding of Southern California was selected. United's most-difficult award to achieve, “Van Operator of the Year” is indeed a high honor for movers Wayne and Tom. In 1993, United Van Lines instituted the highly coveted “Customer Choice Award.” This award, which is based entirely on extensive customer surveys, is given each year to agents with the highest scores. Less than three percent of United’s agents are chosen to receive this award annually.
